Workshops

With the support of the APAC Education program we regularly run Computational Science workshops for students and teachers based around our hands on teaching modules and tutorials. We also organise schools and workshops in advanced computing for researchers and graduate students, such as summer schools in advanced computing and conferences such as the Computational Techniques and Applications conference.

• May and September 2005, Bouncing Ball Tutorial as part of annual Archimedes Day.
• January 10 - January 21 2005. APAC Summer School in Advanced Computing was run by the members of the MSI and the ANUSF.
• January 2004. Introduction to Computational Science as part of the National Science Teachers Summer School 2004
• May 22nd 2003 Gas Simulation Tutorial for year 10-12 students (20 students)
• April 23rd 2003 Introduction to Computational Science as part of the Interstate Career Advisors Program (15 career advisors)
• January 14th 2003 Introduction to Computational Science as part of the National Science Teachers Summer School 2003 (40 teachers attended the workshop)
• September 5th 2002 Student Workshop (12 students attended from Orana, Hawker and Canberra College)
• August 14th 2002 Teachers Workshop (26 IT and Maths Teachers from Canberra Schools and Colleges. Supported by CEGACT)
